FISHERMEN FOR THE HUNGRY
Lake Seminole

Bennie Hatton and Trent Hatton took First Place and a check for $1,240 dollars with a five fish limit weighing in at 19.90 lbs. Their fish were caught on Shad Rap crank baits.

Brad Shiver and Earl Roberson were not far back taking Second Place and Big Fish for the day with a five fish limit totaling 19.62 lbs including the kicker that tipped the scales at 7.46 lbs. They received checks of $620.00 and $310.00 for a two check total of $930.00 for the day. They also received two $50.00 Gift Certificates from BIG BEAR RODS which sponsors our BIG FISH winner at each event. Their results came about by Flipping Big Bite Bait’s Fighting Frog all day.

Steve Holt and Tracy Edor took their 16.80 lbs limit of fish early by fishing spinner baits earning a check for $310.00 for Third Place.

Bradley Enfinger and Frank Jordon Jr. took Fourth Place and a check for $275.00 with their four fish weighing in at 16.74 lbs. Their technique had nothing but first place in mind and knowing they had to have big fish to make the grade, they used the cloud cover, a goal of 25 lbs, and threw white buzz baits all day.

Tim Rockett and Brian Browning, our Points Leaders for the 2009 Season were the model of consistency with an accumulated total weight for the year of 78.50 lbs. Even though they did not place in the money all year long, they fished hard, supported the FFTH at each tournament, and showed true sportsmanship. Their efforts were rewarded with a check for $560.00 which equaled one half of their entry fees for the year.

All the above winners received beautiful plaques sponsored by Mars Snack Foods U.S.

Our 2009 Most Outstanding Contributing Sponsor of the Year was John Bell, owner of The Matrix Department.

The Top Five Teams in points for the year will be rewarded with a 50% off discount on a 23 foot professionally designed and installed boat wrap from The Matrix Department. Each boat wrap being worth an estimated at $2,800.00 makes this offer worth an estimated $1,400.00 discount for each of teams for a total of $7,000.00

Our Home Depot raffle winner was Trent Hatton and our Wilson’s Woods winner was Richard Predmore.  Well over $1,000.00 worth of raffle prizes were donated by our many sponsors with all being distributed to our participants today.

The FFTH has helped secure and distribute an estimated $11.5 Million Dollar worth of Food for the Needy since beginning in 1999 and with your continued support we can eliminate hunger all together!

Totals for the day:

24 teams fished, 91 fish were caught for a total weight of 233.40 lbs, and the total payout for the day was $11,915.00 CASH, PRIZES, and PLAQUES
